The Committee for Rachel's Tomb
Is Looking For Every Rachel In The World!

 

We are the children of Rachel, and our names prove the fact. Our mother or grandmother may be Rachel, so too our daughter or granddaughter. In most families, there is a Rachel somewhere. Every Rachel is ultimately named after the original Rachel, the beloved matriarch of the Jewish People.

"The Voice of Rachel" project hopes to bring awareness of Rachel's eternal connection to all generations. As long as a child that is born is called Rachel, our Mother Rachel will live forever.

"The Voice of Rachel" would like the full name, address and date of birth of every Rachel in the world. These names will be inscribed in "The book of Rachel" an official leather-bound book, which will be on display in Rachel's Tomb.

The name “Rachel” has traveled throughout western civilization and in every language people have spelled and pronounced it differently so the variations to this name are quite normal and natural.  Since they all point back to our Matriarch Rachel they are acceptable for inclusion in the Book of Rachel. The name Rachel has at least 30 variant forms that we are aware of. They are:

Rachael, Racheal, Rachelanne, Rachelce, Rachele, Racheli, Rachell, Rachelle, Rachil, Rae, Raechel, Raechell, Rahel, Rahil, Rakel, Raquel, Raquela, Raquella, Raquelle, Ray, Raychel, Raychelle, Rashell, Rashelle, Raychel, Rechell, Shell, Shelley, Shellie and Shelly.

An official Rachel's Tomb certificate, suitable for framing, bearing the name of your "Rachel" and confirmation that her name has been recorded in Rachel's Tomb, will be sent to you for a donation of $36 or more. Checks may be made out to "The Committee of Rachel's Tomb". Donations of $500 and above will be inscribed on special golden pages in the book of Rachel.

Proceeds from "The Voice Of Rachel" project will support the work of The Committee for Rachel's Tomb.
